Poblet
The royal pantheon of the Aragó crown, the monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet, founded the monks of the Cistercian in the 12th century.
It is the largest monastic habitat set in the European territory and stands out for its architectural set. Visiting Poblet is to imbue yourself with history!
IN 5 HOURS YOU WILL SEE:
We will go along the Motorway, direction Tarragona / Valls until L’Espluga de Francolí explaining the areas we pass through. Shortly afterwards we will arrive at the Royal Monastery of Poblet.
We will walk outside and make the introduction to a room where the history of the monastery is told. Then we will visit the interior * and when finished, we will return to Barcelona.
* It is a monastery with an active community of monks and has its visiting hours. You have to cover your shoulders and legs to your knees to enter religious venues. We recommend using a shawl, as it can be easily removed and put on.
